From being a stunning and successful actress to a doting mother, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has aced every role with grace. All set to make a comeback on the big screen with the upcoming two-part historical epic Ponniyin Selvan, the diva has nailed how to strike a balance between her work life and family.?
In an interview with TOI, Aishwarya said that it was a pleasure working with Mani Ratnam again. She has shot for both parts of Ponniyin Selvan. For the unversed, Aishwarya has worked with Mani Ratnam in movies like Guru and Raavan?previously.?
"I braved and stepped out to complete Mani sir¡¯s Ponniyin Selvan, but that doesn¡¯t change my focus for my family and Aaradhya," she told the publication.?
After she gave birth to Aaradhya in 2011 at the age of 38, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is 48 years old now took a break from acting for a few years and made a comeback in 2015 with Jazbaa. She has only done a few movies since then, including Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Sarbjit and?Fanney Khan.?
While she was praised by many for?flaunting her post-pregnancy weight, others trolled her. Aishwarya, however, was undeterred. "I was able to handle it because I have faced judgement in my life for so long," she had said in an interview.?
She had once said, "I am the mother that I want to be and I keep saying this ¡ª being a working mother is immensely challenging because any parent, especially those who have to go to work early in the morning, cannot see their kids for hours. It¡¯s not easy. Nobody wants to leave their kid and go work. I do admit that if the nature of my job allows for me to be able to have my child along, not feel the lack of my presence, then I am going to make the effort to accomplish that and at the same time, give her a very normal childhood and be a very normal mother to her daughter."??
