Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Arrives At ED Office For Questioning In Panama Papers Case
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at? Enforcement Directorate (ED) office today for questioning after she was summoned in the wake of the?Panama Papers Case.?
She appeared before the officials in New Delhi.?
Aishwarya had sought for adjournment on two different occasions when she was summoned. This time, however, she appeared before the ED officials.
The Panama Papers FEMA case allegedly revealed the offshore firms are used in order to stash the wealth of the rich and the famous.
ED has been probing the case since 2016. It is said that the leaked documents were originally obtained by German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung.?
Among those, about 12,000 documents are linked to Indians, that include celebrities and businessmen on the list.Amitabh Bachchan's name had also cropped up in the case which is also being probed by the Income Tax Department.?
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Fanney Khan in 2018. She is making a comeback after four years with Mani Ratnam¡¯s ambitious historical fiction drama titled Ponniyin Selvan.??
