Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are gearing up for the release of their most anticipated film Brahmastra on September 9. The two even attempted to offer their prayers and take blessings at the Mahakaleshwari temple in Ujjain recently.?
But, unfortunately, only Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji managed to enter the temple and take blessings as Bajrang dal activists were protesting outside the Mahakaleswari temple even before the celebrity couple arrived at the temple premises.?
The protests were against Brahmastra star Ranbir Kapoor, who once expressed that he likes eating beef and said that he is a 'beef guy.'?
After the old video resurfaced on the internet, it triggered a massive controversy. People have even called for boycott of his film Brahmstra, which is scheduled to release tomorrow (September 9).?
During the protests outside the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Bajrang Dal activists held black flags and and placards against celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who were not allowed to visit the temple.?
Now, the right-wing outfit has said that if any other Bollywood celebrity make such comments like Ranbir Kapoor, they will oppose again.?
"We got to know that Ranbir is arriving at Baba Mahakaal temple to get the blessings, and we opposed it. In future also, if any Bollywood celebrity comments like this on our religion and culture, Bajrang Dal will oppose it again,¡± Ankit Choubey further said.
