Meanwhile, here's how singer Sona Mohapatra and actor Amitabh Bachchan allegedly reacted to the entire controversy.
Taking to Twitter, the Ambarsariya singer wrote, "What¡¯s with politicians demeaning women in their speeches to get some brownie points in a sexist landscape? Dear #RahulGandhi, sure someone has demeaned your own mother, sister similarly in the past & irrespective you ought to know better? Also, #AishwaryaRai dances beautifully (sic)."
Taking to X, the legendary star posted a cryptic tweet days after Rahul Gandhi's statement about him and his daughter-in-law. "T 4929 ¨C time for work out... mobility of the body... flexibility of the mind... all else can wait," he wrote.
In his blog, he added, "Work travel after long... absence from the base after long... not being able to be at the GOJ on the Sunday after long... feels incomplete... BUT... Life goes on..."
What did Rahul Gandhi say? While talking about the Pram Pratishtha ceremony of Atodhya's Ram Mandir, Gandhi said that the event was not attended by anyone from OBC, Dalit or tribal communities, which comprise 73 percent of the country's population.?"By inviting industrialists and Amitabh Bachchan to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, Modi gave the message that the country¡¯s 73 percent of people have no importance", he said. In another rally, he was quoted as saying, "Aishwarya will be seen dancing and Bachchan saab will do a Balle Balle!"
Meanwhile, BJP's Karnataka state unit in a tweet said, "Frustrated by constant rejections by Indians, Rahul Gandhi has sunk to a new low of demeaning India's pride Aishwarya Rai.?A fourth-generation dynast, with zero achievements, now resorts to slurs against Aishwarya Rai, who has brought more glory to India & than Rahul Gandhi's entire family. Hello Mr?@siddaramaiah, as your boss continues to insult a fellow Kannadiga, will you uphold your professed Kannada pride & speak out against such disrespect, or will you remain silent to safeguard your CM Chair?"
