With so much love from fans after Shark Tank India, Flatheads has decided to revive its production and give his business one last shot. Ganesh Balakrishnan, who rejected Anupam Mittal's job offer and got emotional about his business' failure on the show, made the announcement yesterday.
"After the Shark Tank India pitch, we thought it was all over. Flatheads was down and out. We were walking back to the pavilion. And then the episode aired. Over the past week, we listened to the roar of support and encouragement. Many told us it is a wave which will die down. Is it real? Can we keep the dream alive?" he wrote on LinkedIn.
"We decided to give it one last shot. A second lease of life. A Limited Edition NOT OUT collection, which will prove whether the hype is real or not. We're launching pre-orders for 900 shoes, and we will begin production only after we get 600 orders. Else, we will return the money to you.
"If you wish to support us and try on a pair of Flatheads, pre-order now. We will make the shoes and dispatch them to you in 60 days," he said.
"Within 24 hours, 1/3rd of the goal of 900 shoes have already been sold! A big thank you to everyone who ordered already - what a way to support a startup on National Startup Day!"
"We need 600 shoes to be sold before we can start manufacturing. So please check out our website and get yourself a once-in-a-lifetime pair. Tell your friends about it, share this post and request them to check it out. Let's see if you can help us get to 600 today!" he wrote.
