RRR is not just a film, it is an emotion. When the SS Rajamouli's magnum opus failed to become India's official entry to Oscars, not just Indians but even fans including Don't Look Up Director Adam McKay called it a travesty and urged "let¡¯s make sure it gets a best picture nom." RRR was recently screened at the?Beyond Fest film festival and it received an outstanding response from the audience. During the screening in Los Angeles, some fans ran to the front of the theatre and matched steps with Ram Charan and Jr NTR dancing to the popular song Naatu Naatu.?SS Rajamouli was inside the theatre when this happened. At the end of the screening, SS Rajamouli received a standing ovation. "Hail to the King. The one, the only, SS Rajamouli at #RRRMovie tonight at the Chinese Theatre. @RRRMovie," tweeted Beyond Fest's official handle.
"When RRR released, and I started getting responses one by one, I thought, ¡®OK, maybe there are a few¡¯. But the few went into hundreds, the hundreds went into thousands¡ Story writers, directors, critics, people from different fields were talking highly about RRR. I realised something I never knew about my films. I thought the sensibilities are different, but I realised that the sensibilities can also be similar. I am still trying to understand, to be very frank," SS Rajampouli said about his film that has been praised by celebrities including Scott Derrickson, Edgar Wright and James Gunn.
