'Please Come Back', Fans In Tears As Disha Makes Rare Appearance In 6 Years After Leaving TMKOC

Just one character and it made her the country's biggest rage. Disha Vakani is an actress best known for playing the evergreen character of 'Daya Jethalal Gada' AKA 'Daya Bhabhi'in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashma. Ever since the sitcom premiered back in 2008, Disha became India's most favourite household name.

Unfortunately, after giving 10 years to the show, Disha moved on in life to look after her family and kids.

She left the show during the 2017-18 transition and came back for a small special appearance in 2019. That was it. Ever since then Disha never returned to any other show or was seen in public. She is also not on any social media handles making her unavailable for her fans to follow her life post-showbiz.

In the rarest public appearance recently, Disha was seen attending a Navratri event.?

She was accompanied by her husband Mayur Padia and daughter Stuti at SCD Barfiwala School to celebrate with 500 special kids. She was wearing a beautiful red saree and was also seen performing puja with her husband. Disha swiftly dodged speaking to the media or paparazzi at the event.

Soon after videos and pictures went viral, fans took to social media and dropped their emotional reactions.

One user wrote, “Please make a huge comeback in tmkoc without you tmkoc is lifeless you are the lifeline of tmkoc please return back.” Another commented, “Missing you Disha, after longtime heared n saw u feeling glad.” The third one added, “I miss you disha maam for tmkoc.”

Several users felt Disha was under pressure from her in-laws.

One commented, “Looks like he is quite under pressure under in-laws.” Another said, “Friend, his husband is not good, he ruined her career.” The third one commented, “In-laws ka pressure hai! See the way his husband lowers her hand while she is talking.!”

It's been 6 years since her exit and the show has not recast her character.

Earlier this year, TMKOC producer Asit Kumarr Modi shared through a video message, “In this 15 years journey, there is one character that has always stayed with the audience. It is Dayaben, played by Disha Vakani. We have only love and respect for Disha. Her absence is felt by everyone, including me.”

“I have a lot of respect for her and I duly waited for her during the pandemic and I am waiting for her even today. We are hoping for a miracle that she can come back.”
