Kangana Ranaut never fails to surprise her fans! After setting the internet abuzz by calling Jaya Bachchan 'arrogant,' the queen of controversies has now taken a complete 180-degree U-turn on her own statement by hailing the veteran actress as one of the 'most dignified women' in Bollywood.?
In her recent interview which is making a lot of buzz, she called Jaya Bachchan ji "a very reputed actor of our film industry". She admitted that the veteran actress is known for her "short temper" and went on to praise her for doing a movie like "Guddi" back then. For the unversed, Jaya plays the role of a schoolgirl who has a crush on and is obsessed with the actor Dharmendra in the film which was a career-making film for her.?
Praising the film and the actress, she added, "She sent a message of women empowerment through that. And even after that¡ she's one of the most dignified women in the film industry. The way she carries herself in Rajya Sabha, I feel very good that we have this kind of representation from the film industry."
Earlier this month Kangana Ranaut had called Jaya "arrogant" for her parliament outburst. She even compared the situation to a panic attack.?In an interview with Fever FM, the MP from Mandi, said,?"This arrogance has not spared even the beautiful bond within families. Humans should embrace each other and not dissect each other with this sort of harshness. People are simply flaring up with the name coming up like they¡¯re getting a panic attack or something. And when they say, 'My identity is taken over, I am destroyed' I just feel sad."
She said this after Jaya Bachchan lashed out at?Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar for calling her "Jaya Amitabh Bachchan". She objected to how women are known by their husband's name and are refused to have their own identity.?
