After years of speculations surrounding Jennifer Aniston's personal life, the 'Friends' star recently unveiled a private part of her life for the first time ever.?The actor revealed in a cover story for Allure on November 9 that "she was trying to get pregnant" many years ago and had IVF and other fertility procedures done.
Hollywood media has been obsessed with her personal life ever since she rose to fame, including her previous two marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, respectively, and the fact she has never had children.
Opening up about her emotional fertility journey,?she told Allure,?
"I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road."?
"All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed," she added.
The actress added that the insinuation that she was "selfish" for putting her work over bearing kids upset her more than pregnancy rumors and speculations.
"I've spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. "I'm so protective of these parts because I feel like there's so little that I can keep to myself. The [world] creates narratives that aren't true, so I might as well tell the truth. I feel like I'm coming out of hibernation. I don't have anything to hide," she concluded.
She is currently winning hearts for her performance as Alex in ?Morning Show on Apple TV+.
Aniston has been nominated for eight Emmys, winning one in 2002 for "Friends," and she won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020 for her performance on "The Morning Show." From 2000 to 2005, she was married to actor Brad Pitt; from 2015 to 2017, she was married to?director Justin Theroux.
