While fans look forward to Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita, influencer Anjali Arora who went viral for her dance on ¡®Kachha Badaam¡¯ and stint in Lock Upp has recently revealed her silver screen debut as Sita in Abhishek Singh's directorial Shri Ramayan Katha.
This news is not sitting very well with the internet who are calling this casting ¡®very off¡¯.
Reacting to it one wrote, ¡°The worst selection for Sita Maa role in the history Ramayan tv series or movie making after Kriti Sanon.The makers purposely did this to hurt the sentiments. This is the lowest level of casting.¡±
Another added, ¡°#AnjaliArora Kaccha Badam doesn't even know how to act.¡±
A third added, ¡°bhyi anjali Arora as Maa Sita? bhyi, plss god ji ye jhuth ho.¡±
A fourth went on to add, ¡°Kaccha badam viral girl ko sita k role k liye finalise kiya h ikkis topo ki salami casting director ko.¡±

She told Etimes ¡°I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I was finalized last month, and since then, I have been watching videos, doing readings, and attending workshops. I will give my best to do justice to the character.¡±

Because both films are inspired by the Hindu mythology, Anjali Arora realized that her portrayal of Sita would inevitably attract similarities to Sai Pallavi's depiction in Ramayan. Despite this, she expressed her happiness at being assessed against a seasoned actress, stating, "If I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy."
For the unversed, Anjali developed a huge social media following after appearing on the reality show Lock Upp and posting viral dancing videos.
In addition, In Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi will play Sita.?
