Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for speaking her mind when it comes to topics of national interest, has once again grabbed the limelight for getting involved in the ongoing Prophet Muhammad row.?
After the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suspended Nupur Sharma from the party for her controversial and alleged derogatory remarks that has earned the wrath of the Islamic countries, the Bollywood actress has dared to back the suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma who has been receiving death threats over her remarks made in a Television debate about 10 days ago.?
Taking to her official Instagram handle, Kangana Ranaut has condemned death threats against BJP's Nupur Sharma and has expressed that people must choose the legal path if they wanted the now former BJP spokesperson to be held responsible.?
"Nupur is entitled to her opinions, I see all kinds of threats targeted at her, when Hindu Gods are insulted which they are almost every day we go to court, pls do that no need to play dons yourself...(sic)" the Dhakaad actress wrote."... this is not Afghanistan, we have a proper functioning government which is chosen with a process called democracy... just a reminder for those who keep forgetting," she further added to her statement.?
Moreover, after the controversy escalated, Mumbai police had booked Nupur Sharma over her remarks during the controversial TV show. Nupur Sharma, who has been a part of BJP for over 15 years, has been booked under sections 295A, 153A and 505B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after receiving complaint from Raza Academy, a Sunni Barelvi organisation of Indian Sunni Muslims, for her alleged controversial comments on Prophet Muhammad on a National channel.
According to latest updates, the controversial remarks over Prophet Muhammad have caught the attention of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), which is an affiliate group of the terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda. AQIS has issued a threat letter on June 6, warning of suicide attacks across India.??
Reports suggest that according to the letter,?the terrorist outfit stated that it would launch the attacks in Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi in order to ¡°fight for the honour of the Prophet¡±.
