Saif Ali Khan once again stirred up controversy after he said that there was no concept of India before the British gave it one.?
Saif was speaking about his recently released movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero, which was in the news for a lot of people felt that it wasn't true to historical facts.?
After he got savagely trolled on social media over the controversial remark, Saif Ali Khan was lashed out at by Kangana Ranaut too. The bold and the beautiful pointed out the Mahabharat as contradiction to what Saif had said.
"If there was no Bharat then what was Mahabharat? Some people have just created these narratives that suit them. Sri Krishna was in Mahabharat. So there was a Bharat, that¡¯s why it was mahaan (great). All the kings of India came together to fight that war. You see even Europe has these small nations. But these had a collective identity, that¡¯s why Sri Krishna went to all these places with Pandavas and the Kauravas, to ask them who will be a part of the war," Kangana told Zee News in an interview.?
Kangana Ranaut had also hit out at Deepika Padukone recently asking her to apologise for hurting the emotions of acid attack victims.?
¡°Rangoli is an acid attack survivor and she was very hurt seeing the video. Sometimes, marketing teams tend to go overboard with their promotions, and I am sure Deepika must be having some explanation for this," she told India Today in an interview.
This came, after Deepika Padukone in a controversial video to promote Chhapak set about a TikTok challenge to recreate three of her ¡®looks¡¯ from her films that included the one of Malti from Chhapaak.
¡°The people who are hurt like my sister should be apologised to. This is not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that because we all make mistakes," Kangana added.
