A senior CISF officer stated that the woman constable involved in slapping BJP leader and actor Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport has been suspended. Additionally, a complaint has been filed against her at the local police station for an FIR.
Meanwhile, Kulwinder Kaur revealed to NDTV that?she was upset with Kangana's statement during farmers' protest in which the actress said farmers were protesting because they were paid Rs 100. Kaur questioned if the actress would sit there herself, noting that her mother was protesting there at the time when the statement was made.
She said, "I am getting a lot of phone calls, from the media as well as my well-wishers. First of all, I am safe, I am perfectly fine. The incident that happened today at Chandigarh airport was during the security check. As soon as I came out after the security check, the lady in the second cabin, a CISF security staff came from the side, hit me on my face and started abusing me. When I asked her why she did so, she said that she supports farmers' protest. I am safe but I am concerned about the terrorism and extremism that is increasing in Punjab..."
A few hours ago, Kangana had shared a series of photos on Instagram revealing to her fans and followers that she was en route to parliament. In one of the photos she could be seen hugging her mother Aasha Ranaut. "On my way to Parliament. Mandi ki sasand (the Member of Parliament from Mandi)," she wrote.
After winning the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and beating Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by over 74,000 votes, Kangana had told ANI, "Mandi has not taken kindly to the insults for daughters. As far as my departure to Mumbai is concerned, this (Himachal Pradesh) is my ¡®janmabhoomi¡¯ and I will continue to serve people here¡So, I am not going anywhere. Perhaps, someone else will have to pack their bags and leave. I am not going anywhere."
