Mallika Dua Says Akshay Made Her Uncomfortable, Her Father Lashes Out At Him For Sexist Remark

There is a thin line between comedy and insult, they say, and this time, the line has been crossed.

On one hand, #MeToo campaign is taking the internet by storm with thousands of women recounting their sexual assault incidents. The entertainment industry is talking about the Harvey Weinstein scandal, throwing light on how such people exist in Bollywood as well. On the other side, sexist comments are being passed at celebs on national television.

“Mallika Ji aap bell bajao, mai aapko bajata hoon,” Akshay Kumar had said on the show.

"I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co worker Mallika Dua that “aap bell bajao main aap ko bajata hun” at 5:26.This is his sense of humor and language. Star Plus..wake up...," her father wrote on Facebook.

Furthermore, Mallika Dua alleged that she was made to feel uncomfortable on the sets of the show. She questioned if this sort of humour was charming or entertaining.
