Mumbai Magistrate court has rejected bail plea applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha. The accused will have to apply for bail before special NDPS court.
ASG Singh argued that it will have to be considered how influential the people are and if there is a chance of tampering. He further states that this is not an isolated case and any sort of protection in the nature of bail would hamper the investigation.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)? questioned the merits of Aryan Khan's bail plea.?
The central agency had already informed that they would oppose the bail applications of Aryan Khan and others in the drug bust case.
Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha, and Arbaaz Merchant were arrested by the NCB on October 3 following a raid on a Goa-bound ship, while the other five were arrested the next day.?
They were produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R M Nerlikar at the end of their earlier remand.
The court sent them in judicial custody even as the probe agency sought an extension of remand till October 11.?
Later, the following day, they were formally arrested and produced before ACMM Nerlikar on Sunday, who sent them to a day's custody, which was extended till October 7.
