The discussions and debate around the newly amended Citizenship Act has not only taken over India, but even foreign media is discussing about the same. In fact, Pakistani social media users are weighing on their opinions about CAA.
In the wake of the whole discussion, Adnan Sami recently took to Twitter to lash out that the Pakistanis who were commenting on the CAA and NRC situation in India. He gave a word of advice to those who are taking keen interest in India's ongoing CAA protests.?
He wrote that Muslims are "very proud and happy here."
"Dear Pakis who have uninvitedly thrusted themselves into the CAA discussion...Firstly, if you are advocating for Muslims, then first accept that them wanting to leave you, defeats the purpose of your existence! Secondly, if you are so worried about the Muslims, open your borders for them!!," he wrote.
"And much to your disappointment, Muslims are very proud and happy here!" he added in another tweet.?
Seemingly, he has now deleted both the tweets.
This comes after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan also passed his comments over India's Citizenship (Amendment) Act. Sympathizing over the situation in the country, he wrote, "India, under Modi, has been moving systematically with its Hindu Supremacist agenda. Starting with illegal annexation & continuing siege of IOJK; then stripping 2 mn Indian Muslim in Assam of citizenship, setting up internment camps; now the passage of Citizenship Amendment Law".
About CAA, Adnan Sami had earlier tweeted, "The #CABBill is 4 religions tht r being persecuted in ¡®Theocratic States¡¯. Muslims r NOT persecuted 4 their religion in Pak, Afghanistan or Bangladesh cause they r in majority over thr. Muslims CAN still apply 4 Indian citizenship like b4. All r welcome thru d legal ¡®Front Door¡¯!"
For the unversed, Adnan Sami was earlier a citizen of Pakistan. He was granted Indian citizenship in 2015. Since then, he has been trolled quite a lot on Twitter when he takes India's side over Pakistan. Despite that, he never fails to voice out his opinion, like he did recently.
