Years after entertaining the audience with 3 Idiots, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are reuniting for a special project. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan have begun shooting for film Laal Singh Chaddha in Chandigarh and the first pictures from the sets have found their way online. In the pictures, Aamir can be seen discussing the plan with his team and Kareena could be seen with her team.?
Aamir announced the project on his 54th birthday and the film is an official adaptation of Tom Hanks¡¯ classic Forrest Gump.
Secret Superstar director Advait Chauhan will direct the film that he will co-produce with Viacom18 Motion Pictures and will be titled Laal Singh Chaddha.
"My next film is finalised it is called Lal Singh Chaddha. It is being made by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. It will be directed by Advait Chandan. It is an adaptation of Hollywood film ¡®Forrest Gump¡¯. We have bought the rights from Paramount... I am playing the lead role of Lal Singh.¡± Aamir had confirmed the news .
Just few days ago, Aamir unveiled the logo of Laal Singh Chaddha. The short clip had music composer Pritam¡¯s soundtrack and showed a feather flying in the sky. He captioned the video,
¡°Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum (who knows if the story is in us or if we are in a story).¡±
Forrest Gump, directed by Robert Zemeckis, released in 1994 and went on to win six Oscars, including best picture, best director and best actor for Hanks. The film, based on Winston Groom¡¯s 1986 novel of the same name, follows Forrest Gump, a man from Alabama, who witnesses and unwittingly influences several historical events in 20th century USA. The movie is slated to hit theatres during Christmas 2020.
The lead pair of the film Aamir and Kareena will share the screen for the third time after 'Talaash,' and '3 Idiots.'
Meanwhile Kareena, who was last seen in the 2018 film 'Veere Di Wedding', will next star in 'Good News', co-starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. She will also feature in 'Angrezi Medium' alongside Irrfan Khan and Karan Johar's magnum opus 'Takht'.
