Pooja Bedi Comes Out In Support Of Milind Soman's Nude Beach Photo, Calls It An 'Aesthetic Pic'
In 1974, Pooja Bedi's mother Protima Bedi had streaked naked on a Mumbai beach. This raised a lot of eyeballs at that point in time, but not as much as Poonam Pandey's "obscene photoshoot."
Pandey was arrested and then released on bail after she reportedly shot for an "obscene" video at a government property in Goa.
After Twitter called out the hypocrisy of those who lauded Milind Soman's nude photo that he posted on his birthday from a beach in Goa and criticised Poonam Pandey, Soman was booked by Goa Police.
Reacting to the entire controversy, Pooja Bedi has now come out in support of Soman. She called his nude photo as "aesthetic pic".
"Absolutely nothing obscene about @milindrunning aesthetic pic. The obscenity lies in the minds of a viewer imagining more! His crime is being good looking,famous & setting bench marks! If nudity is a crime all naga babas should be arrested. Smearing ash can’t make it acceptable!"
A case was registered at Colva police station under IPC Section 294 (obscene acts and songs) and Section 67 of IT Act (publishing and transmitting obscene material in electronic form) against actor Milind Soman.
"He has used Goa for is cheap publicity and acted foolishly on a public beach. How does one just run naked on a beach?" complainant Sameer Khutwalker, who is also the president of Goa Suraksha Manch had said.??
