Best known for his role as?Kesava aka Mondelu (Allu Arjun's close ally) in Pushpa, actor?Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari has been arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly abetting the suicide of his girlfriend who died by suicide.?
The actor's girlfriend passed away on November 29 at her home. The two were allegedly in a live-in relationship. After her death, her father approached the Police and claimed that Jagadeesh blackmailed her daughter and constantly harassed her -- which was the reason why she took the extreme step.?
The Police later investigated this angle and reportedly found substantial evidence against him. Following this, they arrested him for abetting her suicide.
As per the Police, they found evidence on the woman's phone. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari had clicked her photos and videos with another man. He was blackmailing and threatening her that he will leak her private photos online. The woman, who was also a junior artist working in the south film industry, hung herself to death.
After her death, Jagadeesh was absconding. The Police finally nabbed him yesterday and arrested him. More details on the case are awaited.?
Apart from Pushpa, he was also seen in movies like Pickpocket, Virata Parvam, Butta Bomma and Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu among others. He will also star in Pushpa 2: The Rule, which will be released next year.
Talking about his journey, he had once said, "I used to work as a sales executive in an ice cream company, in Warangal. I was responsible for sourcing and supplying snacks to multiplex cinemas in that region. I used to work in catering before that. That said, I did always have artistic ambitions."
Jagadeesh who calls himself an "accidental actor" started his career with short films. He came to Hyderabad looking for help to finish his first unreleased short film, but eventually ended up becoming an actor in short films and later in feature movies.?
Furthermore, talking about Pushpa, he told Cinema Express, "Sukumar sir used to always take me aside and give me tips on handling relationships and strategising my career better. Acting alongside Allu Arjun, who is such a magnanimous presence himself, was a learning experience unto itself. The sets of Pushpa was my film school."
