Actor Ram Charan who became a household name across the country and the world with RRR, recently got awarded at an award function. In one of the videos from the function that is now going viral, Ram can be seen clicking selfies with the kids of the late colonel Santosh Babu, who died in the Galwan Valley clash in 2020.
Ram in the video can be seen taking the mobile phone and clicking selfies in both portrait and landscape mode with the kids. Reacting to his gesture, a fan called his act ¡®great¡¯ and him a ¡®gentleman¡¯. For the unversed, Ram won NDTV's Future Of Young India Award in the attendance of several celebrities including Sonu Sood and Neha Kakkar.
After Ram Charan was awarded, his father-actor Chiranjeevi congratulated him on Twitter saying, "Absolutely thrilled for you and proud on winning the True Legend Future Of Young India Award. Bravo! Way to go, dearest, Ram Charan ¨C Appa and Amma (father and mother).¡±
The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer film won Best International Picture at the 2022 Atlanta Film Critics Circle Awards. Taking to Twitter recently Atlanta Film Critics Circle shared a photo of lead actors Ram and NTR to tweet, "The 2022 Atlanta Film Critics Circle Awards. Best International Picture: RRR."
Even though RRR wasn¡¯t selected for India¡¯s official entry to Oscars 2023, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is going places. He recently won Best Director at The New York Film Critics Circle. The award will be handed to the team at a dinner in early January organised by The New York Film Critics Circle which is the oldest critics group in the US, with members from newspapers, magazines and online publications.
RRR which has grossed over Rs 1200 crores globally is a pre-Independence fictional story that revolves around real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Released theatrically in March, the Hindi version of the film premiered on Netflix on May 20 and soon became the most popular movie from India on the streamer globally.
Ram Charan on the work front is currently shooting for his upcoming yet-untitled film with director Shankar. The film, dubbed RC 15 also stars Kiara Advani and marks the maiden collaboration between Shankar and Ram Charan where the actor is said to be playing an IAS officer.
