Bollywood's heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor seems to be fed up of playing a hero onscreen. According to latest reports, the actor, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Shamshera, says that he's envious of his co-star Sanjay Dutt and hoped he could have played the role of a villain in the film instead.?
The actor revealed this during Shamshera promotions through a special video titled RK Tapes wherein he is seen reminiscing the villains of Bollywood such as - Gabbar in Sholay to Mogambo in Mr.India. In the the third episode of the series, the actor can be spotted sitting comfortably in a theatre as he reveals his childhood dream of playing a villain on the screen.
He also shares that he now desires to play a negative character that will leave a lasting impression in the cinema industry.?

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt are sharing screen space in Shamshera. While Ranbir plays the titular character, Sanjay Dutt is seen portraying the evil Daroga Shudh Singh. The film also features Vaani Kapoor in the lead role.?
Moreover Sanjay Dutt has shatred that playing the negative character of Daroga Shudh Singh, who enslaves the warrior tribe in Shamshera has been the most interesting.?
Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Shamshera will be releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film is slated to hit theatres on July 22, 2022.
