One of the highest-paid television actresses in India, best known for her role in Anupamaa,?Rupali Ganguly has found herself in hot soup ever since her stepdaughter made shocking allegations of destroying her family and called her "psychotic". In a fresh set to allegations against the Sarabhai VS Sarabhai actress, now Esha Verma has claimed that Ganguly used to hit her mother physically.?
For the unversed, Rupali is Ashwin K Verma's third wife, while Esha is his daughter from his second marriage. In a new interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha said that Rupali used to "physically hit my mother in person in Mumbai". Not just that, she also claimed that her own father "was also a very abusive man physically and emotionally."
"I was devastated, crying in high school because of the women who deliberately came into our lives, who broke my parent¡¯s marriage, who physically hit my mother in person in Mumbai in my grandparent¡¯s house. To see her win, that¡¯s the most devastating thing which I have gone through," she was quoted as saying.
Esha also claimed that her father forced her to take down her original post and that she was scared after the media picked it up. "Whenever I tried to open up about it, he tried to shut me down," she said adding that he has not been keeping in touch with them and she doesn't even believe he would attend her wedding.?
"Why should I listen to a man who never supported us and put women who he had an affair with and put his wife first? He never stood up for me and my mother. He never set up for me; he never publicly apologised to me; he never acknowledged me my sister on the post. It was always him and their so," she added.?
Ashwin Verma on the other hand clarified in a social media post that the daughter has been hurt since their divorce and hasn't overcome it. Esha had also accused Rupali Ganguly of giving strange medicines to her father like Rhea Chakraborty allegedly gave to Sushant Singh Rajput.?
