Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan recently received death threats that shook Bollywood to the core. While fans continued expressing their concerns, the case kept the cops on their toes. A recent development has arrived with good news that the accused in both threatening cases has been arrested by the officials and further investigation is underway at full speed.
Cops nabbed a 24-year-old lyricist named Sohail Pasha from Karnataka¡¯s Raichur on November 12 in connection with a death threat that was sent to Salman Khan on November 7. Mumbai Police¡¯s WhatsApp helpline received a threatening message that read, ¡°The songwriter's condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should save them.¡±
So, it was Sohail only who issued a threat to Salman and himself naming Lawrence Bishnoi as the accused in order to extort a Rs 5 crore ransom. Pasha who has written the title track of Salman Khan¡¯s upcoming movie Sikandar titled 'Main Sikandar Hun' wanted both him and the song to get famous.
On November 12, Mumbai Police reached Raipur and arrested a Chattisgarh-based advocate for issuing a death threat to Shah Rukh Khan. Faizan Khan who had also demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh claimed that he previously filed a complaint against the actor in Bandra for causing enmity between two religious groups.
According to the accused, Shah Rukh Khan in his 1993 film Anjaam was seen allegedly killing a deer and asking his staff to cook and eat it. "I hail from Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community (which is from Rajasthan) is my friend. It is in their religion to protect deer. So, if a Muslim says something like this about deer, it is condemnable. Therefore, I objected," Faizan told media back then.
