Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu who is currently enjoying the success of her recent release Yashoda has another feather in her cap. The ¡®Oo Antava¡¯ diva has now been ranked as the country¡¯s most popular female filmstar. To achieve this feat, the actress has even beaten Bollywood biggies like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
Samantha¡¯s personal and professional life is quite a national buzz. From her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya to her recent diagnosis with Myositis, it¡¯s been a tough last few years for her. But the actress is standing strong against all odds. Prabhu¡¯s gained huge popularity after she played Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamil, in filmmakers Raj and DK¡¯s Hindi web series The Family Man 2.?
The film won her critical appreciation and several accolades. Since then the 35-year-old actress has gone global and there¡¯s no looking back for her. In Hari¨CHarish directorial Yashoda, the Telugu actress plays a surrogate mother and by far the film has earned more than Rs 33 crores in 10 days at the box office.
Her spokesperson has now refuted all such reports and has said, ¡°There¡¯s absolutely no truth in Samantha being hospitalised. These are baseless reports. She is healthy and fine at home.¡± Lately, in a promotional event for Yashoda, the actress addressed her health condition in public for the first time and cleared some air.
The Eega actress said, ¡°As I said in my post (on Instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I¡¯ve felt even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I¡¯ve gone through so much and have come this far. I¡¯m here to fight. I want to clear one thing. I saw a lot of articles describing my condition as life-threatening. The stage I¡¯m in, it¡¯s not life-threatening. At the moment, I¡¯m not dead yet. I don¡¯t think those headlines were very necessary,¡±
