Sheezan Khan, Tunisha Sharma's accused ex-boyfriend, has allegedly informed police investigating the actor's death that he broke up with the late actor because he was "so disturbed by the atmosphere in the country" after the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala.
In the early morning of December 24th, Tunisha was discovered dead in Vasai.
Sheezan reportedly informed Waliv police on his first day in custody that he and Tunisha broke up when he learned about the media coverage of the death of Shraddha Walkar.?
Tunisha was discovered dead on the set of a TV show in Mumbai, Maharashtra, two weeks after her breakup with Sheezan.
"Tunisha had recently tried to commit suicide a few days before her death, but at that time, I saved her and told Tunisha's mother to take special care of her," Sheezan said, reported ANI as it quoted police sources.
Actor Sheezan Khan was ordered to spend four days in police prison on Sunday after a court in Vasai, Maharashtra, investigated his involvement in the suspected suicide of his girlfriend, Tunisha.?
After his arrest for instigating a suicide attempt, police in Waliv brought him before the judge. Under Indian law, Section 306, a case was filed against him.
According to ANI, the police sent Tunisha and Sheezan's phones to a forensic lab to retrieve their calls and chats to establish what transpired before Tunisha's death.
Vanita Sharma and Tunisha's maternal uncle gave police statements.
As per ANI, Vanita Sharma, Tunisha Sharma's mother, has said, "Sheezan cheated Tunisha, he was involved with some other girl, but despite that, he was with Tunisha. Sheezan should not be spared, and he should be punished."
