Approximately 500 Millions of animals have died in the Australian bushfires which have ravaged the country. It has a devastating effect on the flora and fauna. Not only that, it has also claimed 24 lives and destroyed almost 2,000 homes till now.
While a lot of celebrities have taken to social media to express their concern on the issue and to urge their fans to donate, US singer Pink is one of the first celebrities who have donated a whopping $500,000 (Rs 3.6 crores).?
The 40-year-old singer said that she was devastated with what has happened. She shared the news and also shared the intention of donating the money to Australia Bushfires services.
"I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires. I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz," she said.?
Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio and Greta Thunberg, who often address climate change problems and raise awareness on the same, also pointed out that the smoke of the fire had spread to New Zealand speeding up the melting of icebergs there.

"The weather conditions have improved in NSW and Victoria but there are still many fires raging and there's a significant firefighting effort continuing," Prime Minister Scott Morrison told at a press conference.?
