Sonu Sood Appears As Witness In 2014 Firing Case At Producer's Home; All You Need To Know
On Tuesday, Sonu Sood stood in the witness box placed at the front of courtroom number 55 of the City Civil and Sessions Court, Kala Ghoda. He appeared as a witness in a 2014 firing case, in which three men on a motorcycle slowed down at producer Karim Morani's house and fired three bullets.?
After the firing Morani received an SMS on his mobile phone in which a gangster threatened him with dire consequences. Morani had previously as well received threatening calls from gangster Ravi Pujari.
It was alleged that Pujari wanted arrested accused Obaid Abdula to obtain the overseas rights of film Happy New Year, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Sonu Sood among others. Karim Morani had turned down his demand.??
Sonu Sood had alleged that he also received a threatening message from someone who claimed to be Don Ravi Pujari.
On August 26, 2014, a few days after the shootout, Sonu Sood received a message that read, "Don't go to the USA show slam or i will kill you talk to me; pass this message to Shah Rukh Khan. Don Ravi Pujari.¡±
Over 30 witnesses have deposed during the trial and a couple of them have turned hostile, reports TOI.??
