Swara Bhasker Lauds Rahul Gandhi For Not Giving Up Despite Being Stopped By Cops From Visiting Hathras
Not once or twice, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was stopped several times before he was detained?along with sister Priyanka Gandhi as they?marched to Hathras.
"I want to ask, can only Modi Ji and people of BJP and the RSS walk in this country? Why can't a normal person walk? Our vehicle was stopped, so we started walking," he said.
Rahul Gandhi told the reports that he was allegedly pushed by the cops, following which, he fell on the ground.
"We have been stopped from going to Hathras. While we were walking towards Hathras, we were stopped repeatedly. Many of our workers were injured as police resorted to lathi charge on them. But we are determined. The blows of an arrogant government cannot stop us. One wishes these police batons were used to protect the dalit daughter", Priyanka tweeted.? ?
Actress Swara Bhasker has applauded Gandhi for continuing to walk to Hathras to meet the gang-rape victim's family, despite being stopped several times. "Well done," she wrote.
