¡®They Do It Knowing It¡¯ll Irk Me¡¯, Taapsee Pannu On Her Recent Viral Video Slamming Paparazzi
Taapsee who is currently garnering acclaim for her film Blurr has recently faced the brunt of netizens after slamming paparazzi in an unwelcoming gesture. She was called ¡®Another Jaya Bachchan¡¯ and whatnot when the actress felt unrest about the paparazzi¡¯s interaction with her doings. The actress has now reacted to the same.
Taapsee who is vocal about who she is and pays less attention to how people perceive her said that these things do affect her.
Taapsee told India Today, ¡°It does bother me because, after a point, I realised that they are doing it knowing they are going to irk me. Why will you hold my car¡¯s door when I have gotten in? This is intruding my private space. Imagine if you are getting into your car and there are people who have held the car door and not letting you shut the door and shoving the camera in your face, will you like it?¡±
¡°Any person, regardless of being a girl or boy, would you like it? I walk without bodyguards. Just because of that, you have the liberty to shove your cameras and mike into me, physically, and not give me a regular human being's breathing space just because I'm a public figure. It gives you the liberty to violate my personal space.¡±
¡°And then, obviously, the icing on the cake becomes when the media make headlines that I'm arrogant. If I'm arrogant to ask for basic human respect of space, then please call me arrogant, but I will not just try to sugar-coat and be extra nice because I'm in front of this camera. I am not that person. You get what you see!¡±
Taapsee also talked about how people perceive her with raw and rugged views on the internet that she¡¯s ¡°forced¡± to detach herself from.
¡°I'll be honest, it did bother me a little bit, then I forced myself to detach from it by keeping my presence on social media very limited. I made it a point to not read and find out about these things. Because see, my honesty is in the fact that I will never mince my words and I will not sugar-coat and act in front of the interview cameras or paps. There are people who do that and if we were to reveal the reality of those stars, the entire public image would change.¡±
She added, ¡°I want people to come and see my work. Mujhe shaadi nahi karni tumse. If you don¡¯t think of me as a nice person to win your hearts, that¡¯s okay. I can live with it but just be sensible enough to judge a person by the quality of work they do. I am not here to pretend in front of the cameras and behave like someone who always does the right thing. I am here in the capacity of an actor who gives 100 % to every film, and I want to be appreciated for that. I cannot pretend to be someone else.¡±
On the work front, Taapsee will soon be seen romancing Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani¡¯s Dunki. Other than that she has Woh Ladki Hai Kahan, Alien and Jana Gana Mana in her kitty.
