Actor Vicky Kaushal is out promoting his upcoming film, Govinda Naam Mera featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. In one of the media interactions during the same, Vicky talked about how actor Shah Rukh Khan taught him the importance of ¡®grammar¡¯ that comes along with a director¡¯s vision.
Vicky in an interview with the news agency PTI said, "It's (world) really something very, very new that I have attempted... Eventually, it is about adding the grammar of the director's vision to your process. That precisely is my process or at least a very integral part of my process.¡±
¡°I learned a very interesting thing from Shah Rukh Khan sir. He told me there is always a grammar attached to every film and it comes with the director, what vision he has. It is important to understand the grammar that the director is coming with and my job is to fully suspend myself," the Masaan actor said.
He said, "For me, this film is like my debut film because this is something I've never done before. It's only been seven years, but still I have not done anything like this before. It's a big test, it is like my first film. It might or might not work for me as an actor, and I'm really excited for that... as excited, I was for Masaan."
Govinda Naam Mera revolves around a man named Govinda (Vicky) stuck between his dominating wife (Bhumi) and his desired girlfriend (Kiara) who wants to marry him. Started on a note of fun and comedy, all hell breaks loose as he finds out that there are chances of him losing his ancestral bungalow where he lives.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Govinda Naam Mera also features Renuka Shahane, Sayaji Shinde, and Dayanand Shetty. The film is set to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16. The project is jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions and Shashank. Vicky will next be seen in Dunki and Sam Bahadur.
