'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is a 2013 Indian coming-of-age romantic movie helmed by Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji and backed by none other than star-kid launcher Karan Johar.
The film stars an ensemble cast including actors Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles. Recently, Ranbir spoke about its sequel during a virtual chat with his fans.?
Alia Bhatt's husband said 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' would make a good sequel.' In fact, the actor went on to reveal that Ayan Mukerji already had a 'nice story' for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's sequel, however, it was because of his project Brahmastra that things didn't materialize.?
Seems Ranbir has just dropped a hint that a sequel of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani could be on the cards. During his interaction, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the film's storyline and shared that the sequel could be showing the characters' lives after 10 years.?
"I think the story will be 10 years forward where Bunny, Naina, Avi, and Aditi, are in their lives. I think it¡¯ll be quite interesting and nice to explore those characters," Ranbir was quoted as saying.?
Moreover, in 2018, Ranbir shared during one of his interviews with Bollywood Hungama that Ayan might film the second part of YJHD in between Brahmastra Part 1 and 2.
"Ayan is on the journey to make Brahmastra, which is very time-consuming. But we have often spoken about Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2. He also has an idea for it and he seldom says we should have just done that it would be an easier film. Easier than Brahmastra, because he is going quite crazy, making this film. You never know. Maybe between Brahmastra Part 1 and 2, we get a window of six months," the actor told Bollywood Hungama.?
The story?of the film revolves around four friends - Bunny, Naina, Avi and Aditi, who reunite after eight years at Bunny's best friend Aditi's wedding. Ranbir Kapoor's character 'Bunny' is a carefree and adventurous person who wishes to travel the world and make a mark.?
Deepika Padukone's character 'Naina,' on the other hand is an introverted and studious medical student who fell for Bunny.?
