Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be Hollywood royalty, but their six kids have no plans to claim the throne! Jolie recently opened up about her children¡¯s surprising detachment from the spotlight. At the AFI premiere in Los Angeles on October 27, she shared that Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16) are more than happy to remain out of the Hollywood limelight.
"No, I think they're especially shy, very private people," Jolie revealed in an interview with E! News, describing her kids as quiet and far from the red carpet scene. "They want to be private," she added, making it clear that the children of two of Hollywood¡¯s biggest stars are creating their own, quieter path.
The Maleficent star has always been vocal about supporting her children¡¯s choices, whatever they may be. While she¡¯s made waves on and off the screen, her kids seem to prefer watching from the sidelines. But that doesn¡¯t mean they aren¡¯t involved. A source close to the family told People that her children remain her ¡°biggest supporters,¡± and that after years of public drama, including her recently dropped lawsuit against the Department of Justice and FBI over the 2016 plane incident involving Pitt, she¡¯s more focused on the future than ever. ¡°Being stuck in the past is not anything that Angie wants,¡± the insider shared, adding that Jolie is determined to move forward and focus on her family, career, and personal growth. ¡°In the past few years, she's been able to create a life for herself and the kids that make them all happy. It was a struggle for a while, but Angie is proud of how resilient and strong the kids are.¡±
While none of Jolie¡¯s children seem inclined to become the next Hollywood stars, they¡¯re still a huge part of her world behind the scenes. In a recent interview with CR Fashion Book, Jolie shared a heartfelt moment she experienced with her youngest daughter, Vivienne. The mother-daughter duo bonded over their work on the Broadway production of The Outsiders, where they even got matching ¡°Stay Gold¡± tattoos, referencing a line from the play. "It means so much to us separately and together," Jolie explained, revealing that her tattoo is on her wrist, though she left Vivienne¡¯s placement up to mystery.
With her children by her side in new ways, Jolie¡¯s world is centred on family and growth¡ªand she couldn¡¯t be prouder.
