Singer Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra are currently embracing their parenthood. The duo got married in 2018 and welcomed a daughter via surrogacy in 2022. In a recent interview, Nick opened up on learning facets of Hinduism from PeeCee and how he plans to raise daughter Malti Marie with both faiths.
Nick shared with Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, "I have a deep and meaningful relationship with God but God has taken many different shapes than what I just read in one book now. And marrying an Indian woman who is Hindu, I have learned so much about that religion and faith that it is so inspiring.¡±
¡°We are raising a child who is gonna have elements of biblical principles and also from the Hindu faith."
When Malti was born, the duo shared a joint statement which read, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (sic)¡±.
In an interview with BBC, Nick shared, ¡°A lot of people do (call me jiju). All the photographers (at the NMACC launch) on the red carpet were calling me jiju.¡± When asked if he noticed ¡°Ae Nickua¡±, then he said, ¡°Yes, I did hear that. It was very good to be back. I love India.¡±
¡°It has been a couple of years since I¡¯ve been there because of Covid, so this was a really fun trip. So yes, great to hear the many nicknames I have now.¡±
While talking about his Hindi song Maan Meri Jaan, Nick revealed, ¡°Her friends decided to teach me all the bad things, all the bad phrases when I first got there. Mainly I just listened to the words I know, which are mostly food. Paneer is my favourite.¡±
Priyanka on the other hand most recently featured in The Russo Brothers' Citadel. On the film front, she was last seen in James C Strouse's Love Again with Sam Heughan which also had Nick¡¯s cameo. PeeCee will soon be seen in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
