However,?NewJeans' highly anticipated full album release has been omitted from the calendar. The move comes after the girl group went live demanding that HYBE boss reinstate Min Hee-jin as ADOR's CEO.
Big blow for NewJeans
?Despite hints of NewJeans being constantly sidelined by HYBE following the controversy surrounding Min Hee-jin, NewJeans fans are mighty disappointed at HYBE's recent move to omit the girl group from their Q4 plans. While an official announcement was yet to be made, NewJeans, at their Tokyo Done fan meeting in March, revealed they were preparing a full album for Q4 2024. Unfortunately, it seems like HYBE has put the group's activities on hold following a display of their rebellious nature.
What is the HYBE vs ADOR controversy?
It all started in April after HYBE announced that it was launching an audit on its subsidiary ADOR and its executives, including Min, calling her to step down as CEO of the label. According to local media reports, the BTS label accused the former ADOR CEO of plotting to go independent and taking advantage of the company's confidential documents to lure potential investors.
Min Hee Jin retaliated with an emotionally charged press conference that involved a set of nasty allegations against the HYBE boss and some bombshell claims. Amid the ongoing legal battle between the two K-pop bigwigs, NewJeans clearly picked their side, issuing a stern warning to their parent label to reinstate Min Hee-jin.
