One of the most popular TV reality shows, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is all set to return with its 11th season. The dance show features popular celebrities competing against each other alongside an assigned choreographer to win the coveted trophy.
The announcement video was released quite some time back and it was captioned, ¡°Ab dance ka hoga asli dhamaal, 12 saal baad Sony ke manch par fir dikhega #JhalakDikhhlaJaa ka kamaal, only on #SonyEntertainmentTelevision. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa returns to its original home in India on Sony TV.¡±
Start Date: The show is likely to start airing from the first week of November. However, an official announcement on the same is awaited.
According to sources, celebrities like Surbhi Jyoti, Shivangi Joshi, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Shiv Thakare, Manisha Rani, Karishma Kotak, Ayesha Singh, Twinkle Arora and Urvashi Dholakia will surely be appearing on the show. Other reports also suggest the names of Bigg Boss OTT fame Abhishek Malhan and Elvish Yadav as probable contestants.
The news of Urvashi being in talks with makers was recently reported by ETimes.
The last season of Jhalak was judged by Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Nora Fatehi. Hosted by Manish Paul, the 10th edition saw Gunjan Sinha emerging as the winner followed by Rubina Dilaik, Faisal Shaikh and Gashmeer Mahajani. The show also had popular contestants like Shilpa Shinde and Nia Sharma in it.
The Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain actress released a video post-eviction and was heard saying, ¡°Karan sir, you don¡¯t know how to dance, if you really have to comment, stick to what you know, please. Madhuri ma'am can comment, but please be a bit sensitive. Nora, it¡¯s high time you learn some Hindi. You are a judge of a Hindi-language show."
In a follow-up video, Shinde said, "I stayed silent, but this time, what took place after Nia¡¯s act, the comments that were given. Karan sir, are you going to sign them for a Dharma film? What do you want? Will you give them an Oscar or a National Award? For that 3-minute act, what an artist goes through, you have no clue."
