2022: The beginning of rumours
A few months after Naga Chaitanya¡¯s divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu in October 2021, the actor reportedly hosted Sobhita at his Hyderabad residence. Several reports suggested that it was a friendly meeting and they both appeared quite comfortable while Chay gave a tour of his new house to Sobhita. Many eyewitnesses saw them together while leaving, thus kickstarting the rumours.?
2023: The London vacation which arrived with clarity
In March of the following year, Michelin Star Chef Surender Mohan shared a click with Naga from his London restaurant where eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted Sobhita sitting at a table in the background. While the picture was soon deleted, several media reports confirmed that it was this London holiday only when Naga and Sobhita realised they were in love for the first time.
First half of 2024: The Jungle safari outing, Europe vacay and Naga¡¯s subtle hint
Earlier in April this year, Sobhita Dhulipala dropped a photo dump on her Instagram from a jungle safari and just a day later, Chaitanya also shared a picture enjoying the sunset from the same background. While the internet was already connecting the dots, the couple flew to Europe for a vacation, the following month.
While the duo didn¡¯t share a picture together, an accidental click of them enjoying a wine tasting got leaked on the Internet followed by a video that captured them walking on the streets with shopping bags in hand. In an interview around the same time with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Naga when asked to share a few words about Sobhita, simply said, ¡°I am just gonna smile."
Second half of 2024: Exchanging rings to happily married
On August 9, Chaitanya¡¯s father and actor Nagarjuna took to his X handle and shared, ¡°We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!!¡± This was followed by the beginning of pre-wedding festivities that included ceremonies like Raata Sthaapana, Mangalasnaanam and Pelli Kuthuru.
