Vidaamuyarchi, which failed to keep its date with the audience this Pongal, is finally to make its way to theatres on February 6. According to Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst, this delay will affect the film’s box office performance.He added that the action thriller needs to have good content to make up for this.?

“Yes, Pongal had one full week’s holiday declared by TN govt, hence missing the festival slot will surely put a dent on the final total. Having said that, if the content is good, and if the film manages a long run, this missed slot collection would surely be compensated,” he told Indiatimes.?

Critic Prashanth Rangaswamy, however, feels that the delayed release isn’t an issue as Ajith Kumar’s stardom is enough to attract the audience.?

“Ajith sir is a force. Valimai too released in February and set records. This too can do well even if it is not at the Valimai level,” he told Indiatimes.?

Vidaamuyarchi is Ajith's first release in two years. The star was last seen in Thunivu (2023), which did well at the box office despite clashing with Vijay’s Varisu.?
