Prabhas’ Kalki 2: We have already shot nearly 35% of the film, says producer

Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year and received rave reviews from most critics. It ended with a major twist, setting the stage for the sequel. During a recent interaction with the media, Swapna Dutt— the film’s producer— revealed that some portions of Kalki 2 have already been shot. She also provided an update about Deepika Padukone’s role in the second installment of the franchise.?

Kalki 2 is one of the most eagerly-awaited Indian films in recent years. It explores the fight between ‘good’ and ‘evil’ and is touted to be grander than the first part. In a recent interaction with the media, Swapna Dutt revealed that the makers have already shot nearly 35% of the film. She added that pre-production work for the remaining portions is already underway.?

Dutt also confirmed that Deepika Padukone will play an expectant mother in certain portions of the sequel as well. Additionally, she confirmed that the makers plan to release the first part in international markets to help it reach a wider audience.?
