Suriya’s Kanguva to premiere on Prime Video on December 8 after poor bo run, netizens say ‘skip it’

Suriya’s Kanguva, which hit the screens on November 14, was one of the biggest Tamil films of the year. It created a great deal of buzz among the audience before its release with its well-packed trailer. This, however, did count for much as the fantasy drama bombed at the box office and failed to impress critics. Now, Kanguva is set to premiere on OTT.?

Kanguva, the most ambitious film of Suriya’s career. Was expected to premiere on OTT nearly eight weeks after its theatrical release. It, however, is now set to arrive on Prime Video on December 8, less than a month after it made its way to theatres.? This comes on the back of a forgettable theatrical run. The film, shot on a budget of Rs 350 crore, earned nearly Rs 100 crore globally and ended up being a disaster of epic promotions

?This announcement left fans with mixed feelings. Most of them were baffled by its premature arrival on the platform. Others wondered that the OTT version would be better than the one released in theatres.?

Kanguva was billed as a game-changer for Tamil cinema. Its producer ecen claimed that the film would earn Rs 2000 crore globally, which made the eventual debacle even more embarrassing.?
