Kanguva, starring Suriya, witnessed a major drop in collections on its second day. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the film collected nearly Rs 9 crore on Friday (November 15). This figure is nearly 62% lower than the Rs 24 crore it raked in on the first day. The film¡¯s total collection stands at Rs 33 crore.?
Kanguva failed to impress critics. Most of them felt that the screenplay wasn¡¯t up to the mark and the characters lacked depth. The negative reviews seem to have affected the film on the second day. Kanguva is a fantasy drama that centres on the events that unfold when a shadow cop meets a child with a secret. It is directed by Siva, best known for his work on Viswasam and Vedalam, and marks his first collaboration with Suriya. The film stars Disha Patani as the leading lady and marks her Tamil debut. The cast includes Bobby Deol, Redin Kingsley, Natty, and Karthi. Devi Sri Prasad, best known for his work on Pushpa and Puli, is the music director of Kanguva.?
Suriya, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. He will be seen in a new avatar in? Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. ¡®Nadippin Nayakan¡¯ will also be doing a film with RJ Balaji. Additionally, he is in talks to star in Karna.
