Prithvi Shaw failed to find a buyer in the IPL 2025 auction. Prithvi, who had a base price of Rs 75 lakh at the auction, was released by Delhi Capitals but received no bids from the ten franchises. Following the IPL 2025 auction snub, Prithvi's old video has gone viral on social media. In the video, the cricketer was not seen discussing the trolling he has endured throughout his career, and he even stated that he follows all memes and trolls created about him.
"If someone isn't following me, how will they troll me? That means he is looking at me. So, while I believe that trolling is not good, it is not always harmful. We witness cricketers and other individuals being trolled. I see all the trolling and memes that are made about me. "It also hurts me sometimes," he admitted.
"If I am seen again, people claim he is outside and not practising. But I'm thinking: It's my birthday. Can't I celebrate? I wondered what I had done wrong. I know if I'm doing something incorrectly. But if something isn't bad, it should be shown in that light," the cricketer said.?
Meanwhile, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif called it a "matter of embarrassment" that Prithvi did not receive a single bid for Rs 75 lakh in the IPL 2025 auction.?
