A remarkable individual who has turned her passion for animals into a powerful force for good. Meet Manavi Rai, an animal rescuer, who started her journey in New Delhi when she noticed injured, weak, hunger stricken dogs during the lockdown in 2020. Prior to this, she was working and living a luxurious life in Toronto for almost a decade. Like most of us, she got stuck at home in India during the pandemic and realised her true calling, which was - that Indie stray animals needed her here.
With a heart as warm as her love for furry friends, Manavi started her animal shelter that stands as a beacon of hope for our four-legged companions.?
Speaking to her about the challenges she faces as a women in the animal welfare, Manavi says, "There are no challenges, there are only situations and every problem has a solution."
She spoke exclusively with us on Indiatimes. Click here to listen to her interview.
Manavi also feels we should stop comparing ourselves to men and accept that we are different and better.?
The social activist became viral after she rescued 3 puppies who were trapped in a car in Delhi for 4 months in January. Manavi along with other women were accompanied by the police, but the accused woman remained unresponsive to their attempts at communication. They eventually broke the rear view glass of the car and rescued the puppies after requesting the owner/accused for almost 6-7 hours.?
