Ahead of the Salman Khan-hosted show's premiere on October 6, the makers of Bigg Boss finally unveiled the first look of the grand Bigg Boss 18 house. Since this year's theme is 'time ka taandav', the interiors of the home have been designed to keep up with it. Several features incorporating ancient-themed sculptures present in Ajanta and Ellora caves have been designed around the house to give it a mysterious look. Representing the bygone era of forts and caves, the interiors have been built to showcase the influence of the past in accordance with this season's time-centric theme.
Before the entertaining show begins, let's take a look at the breathtakingly beautiful interiors of the palatial property and check out some unique and stand-out features of this season's Bigg Boss house.
We understand that the animated-style shot video is moving too quickly, so here's a breakdown of some of the most majestic features of the unique house.
Keeping up with the whole ancient Indian fort-like aesthetic of the house, several wall treatments include larger-than-life sculptures and columns one would associate with a palace.
With a huge ornamental; column smack dab in the centre of the room, the space has been given the feel of the luxurious rooms of the royals. With floral floors and decorations that resemble lamps, the space takes us back several centuries in time.
This unique living room is designed keeping in mind the aesthetic of Darbar halls. While the kitchen represents one of the many cave-like structures, the common centre table gives a holistic feeling of eating together as a family, prevalent in Indian culture and heritage.
Another theme that one can see in the house is 'claustrophobia of the cave' and there are several elements, including the famed jail room. that are designed to emulate a cave or a 'karavas' that used to be present in forts and palaces. To maintain this theme holistically there are several secret chambers and corridors that contestants will get to explore.
While the past few seasons saw a resurgence of Western influence with their home design and decor, this season the creative designers have kept an Indian theme. For instance, the pool has been designed to give the feel of an ancient step-well with stone steps around it.
The open spaces are as majestic as the interiors. For Instance, this particular green space features a luxe trojan-horse-like structure which serves as an eclectic seating space like a first-floor balcony.
Another common theme in ancient forts was dead animals being used as decor after they were hunted. Keeping a similar vibe, this space houses several wall treatments and decorations that feature white tigers.
For the uninitiated, the show is set to premiere this weekend on Colors TV and will be available to stream on Jio Cinema. This season's contestants include famous TV stars and social media influencers like Harsh Beniwal, Akriti Negi, Digvijay Rathee, Nia Sharma, Sameera Reddy, Jashwanth Bopanna, Avinash Mishra, Karan Veer Mehra, Chaahat Pandey, and Shehzada Dhami.? ?
