For teachers of both Upper Primary and Lower Primary schools: Pay Band 2 @ ?14,000 to ?70,000 plus grade pay and other allowances

Age limit

A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st January, 2023.

Educational qualification

1. Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School

The required essential qualification and experience is given below:

Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks

and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

and Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary

The non-essential qualifications are:

NCC Certificate - 5 marks for ¡°C¡± Certificate and 3 marks for ¡°B¡± Certificate

Or, 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation

Or, 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (organized by recognized institutions).
