Prime witnesses in Pehlu Khan mob lynching case, including his two sons, were shot at by a group of unknown assailants on Saturday morning while they were on their way to a court in Rajasthan's Behror to depose in the case.
Irshad Khan who was present in the car said that he was travelling with his brother Arif Khan. They were accompanied by two other witnesses, Azmat and Rafiq, and their lawyer Asad Hayat.
¡°We left for Behror in Alwar for the court proceedings in Neemrana. A black SUV without a registration number plate overtook our car. Four people were sitting inside the SUV. They waved at us and asked us to stop our car, but we did not. They hurled expletives at us. They fired at us when we didn't pull over,¡± he said, according to The Times of India.
The witnesses then headed to Alwar to file a police complaint.

"We have recorded their complaint and are verifying the facts mentioned in it. We have also offered them police protection and an escort vehicle if required. We have assured the delegation that has met us today of complete security," a police officer said told NDTV.
In April 2017, Pehlu Khan, 55 a dairy farmer from Nuh, was thrashed to death by cow vigilantes when he was transporting cattle. A group of attackers was seen grabbing Khan by the neck, bashing his head to the ground, kicking and punching him.??
