Excitement amongst Indians for the Ram Mandir consecration at Ayodhya on January 22 is palpable. The temple will be open to devotees for darshan from January 23 onwards.?
The UP government is planning to make the Ram temple at Ayodhya as accessible as possible to devotees.?
This includes providing e-carts for divyangs, senior citizens and pregnant women in order to enable a smooth Ram Lalla 'darshan'.
The Yogi government has made extensive preparations to operate e-carts for transporting pilgrims to the Ram Temple and Hanuman Garhi for 'darshan' of Ram Lalla.?
These e-carts or golf carts will be available free of cost for the elderly, divyangs and pregnant women.?
The Ayodhya Development Authority is planning to encourage these private industrial houses to donate to this service in Ayodhya through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.?
Wheelchairs will also be provided free of charge at that location for the elderly, divyangs, and pregnant women.?
The objective behind this is to enable as many devotees as possible to have a darshan within a short timeframe.?
In the first phase, a total of 650 e-carts will be brought.?
In the near future, a restriction will be imposed on 4-wheelers on the Ram Path. This means that e-carts will be the sole means for people to experience darshan.?
As for Monday - January 22 - when the main temple consecration event will be held, traffic diversions have been enforced and entry of four-wheelers has been banned.?
The Vedic rituals for the pran pratishtha (consecration) of Ram Lalla, the infant Lord Ram in Ayodhya began on January 16.?
Following the consecration, the temple gates would be opened for devotees to participate in the aarti ceremony. Three distinct types of aartis will be performed at the temple, and passes will be issued free of cost.??
