As the ceremonies ahead of the Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya continue, the main idol of Ram Lalla was brought inside the sanctum sanctorum in the early hours of Thursday.
A special puja was held in the sanctum sanctorum before the idol, sculpted on?Krishna Shila, by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was brought inside with the help of a crane amid chants of 'Jai Shri Ram'.
Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra said that the idol is likely to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday.
Earlier, on Wednesday, a 'Kalash Pujan' was held and a replica of the main idol was symbolically brought in for 'Parisar Pravesh' (entry into the complex) amid the chanting of mantras.
The seven-day-long rituals for the consecration of the Ram temple started on Tuesday, January 16 and will continue till January 21.
The consecration ceremony will be performed at the Ram temple on January 22.
There are 121 'acharyas' who are conducting the rituals. The Ram temple 'Pran Pratishtha' will begin at 1220 pm on January 22 and is expected to end by 1 pm.
"The 'Muhurt' on January 22 is around 12.30 pm. The prayers and rituals have already begun. The Ram Lalla will probably be brought inside the sanctum sanctorum tomorrow morning. Different types of rituals, like the Abhishek (bath) of the idol, among others, will be performed. Finally, when the auspicious time comes at 12.30 pm on the 22nd of this month, the Pran Pratishtha will be done," Mishra, said.
Amid the controversy around the completion of the Ram Temple ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Mishra said the construction of the sanctum sanctorum--garbhagriha has been completed.
"The temple has been built. The temple of Ram Lalla will have 'garbhagriha', five mandaps and that temple will be on the ground floor. That temple is complete. The first floor, which is under construction, will have Ram Darbar...The second floor is just for 'Anushthan', the different types of 'Yagyas' and 'Anushthan' will take place there," Mishra said.
Ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, preparations are almost done amid tight security arrangements.
Ayodhya will be fortified ahead of the Ram Temple's inauguration ceremony with a foolproof security cover.
UP Police has also introduced artificial intelligence-based anti-mine drones to provide 360-degree security coverage. Ayodhya is under the watchful eye of drones and trained security forces equipped with artificial intelligence.
