In a bizarre incident, a man lodged an FIR against his two sons accusing them of killing his pet dog in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district. Carrying the body of dog on his bi-cycle, the wailing man went to police station complaining that his sons had attacked the dog with a sharp weapon leading to its death.
Shivmangal Sai of Bhatgaon region of Surajpur district had been nurturing the dog for past one year. He said that the dog was a peace-loving creature and never harmed anyone.
"But my sons had a problem with my 'jhabbu' and using a sharp weapon they attacked it on its head leading to its death. I wasn't present at home when the incident took place. It's very disturbing for me to see my pet dead," Sai cried adding that there were differences among his family members over keeping the pet.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening. Sai said that he wants his sons to be punished. An FIR was lodged under Section 429 of the cruelty against animals act at Bhatgaon police station.
Investigation officer Subhash Thakur said that preliminary investigation suggests that one of the sons of Sai has killed the dog in a fit of rage when the dog was continuously barking at his mother. In fear that the dog may attack the woman, his son killed it, while another supported him.
