The cyclonic storm 'Gulab', originated in Bay of Bengal, has weakened into a depression, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the weather officials, in a rare weather event, cyclone Gulab?may be reborn as cyclone ¡®Shaheen¡¯ in 2-3 days in the western coast of the country.
The IMD said in a tweet, ¡°Depression lay centered over Telangana and adjoining areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area during next six hours: India Meteorological Department."?

The effect of Cyclone Gulab, which made landfall on the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening, fell on Bihar too where two siblings were killed and one other injured in a lightning strike in Begusarai district on Monday.
The deceased, residents of Baghwara village under Singhauna police station, were identified as Rahima Khatoon (10) and Mushkan Parveen (11) and the injured as Rani (11). The three had gone into the jungle to collect leaves and wood for cooking at around 4 pm when rainfall started in the area. As they tried to take shelter under a tree, it was struck by lightning, leaving two of them dead on the spot.
The Meteorological Department had issued an orange alert in districts like Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Siwan, Munger, Banka, Begusarai etc as apart from its effect on the coastal states, it was also expected to impact Jharkhand and Bihar.
According to reports, four people have died in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha after the landfall.
While two fishermen died in Andhra Pradesh¡¯s Srikakulam district, one person died in Odisha¡¯s Ganjam district.?
Meanwhile in Visakhapatnam, a 37-year-old woman died when a wall fell on her due to heavy rain, The Hindu reported.
The storm uprooted large trees and electricity poles at some places in Andhra Pradesh.
