Delhi Police's swift action saved the lives of three people who were trapped in their house during a fire, as per a report in NDTV. This included an 87-year-old woman. It happened in GK1, New Delhi.?
The fire began on the 2nd floor and by the time the cops got there, it had reached the 3rd floor. HC Munshilal and Ct Sandeep risked their lives by climbing the iron grills to get to the trapped family. It was a daring 'Spiderman' act by the two cops.
These two spoke to the family, calmed the people down and coordinated the rescue.?
"Three people were trapped in the third-floor balcony fully covered with iron grills. This meant that they could not be rescued before the fire in the building gets fully extinguished. The operation was supervised on the arrival of fire engines," said a police officer.?
"All the three were rescued. Brave police personnel also reached the trapped citizens to help them and calm them down. The fire was doused and they were rescued with the help of fire department personnel," the officer added.??
?The family was eventually rescued and thanks to the bravery of these two policemen, three lives have been saved.
